Jazz Great Louis Armstrong Last Performance CD Released
Smithsonian Folkway Recordings is releasing Armstrong’s music on CD and digital download in collaboration with the Louis Armstrong Foundation The live recording of Louis Armstrong playing his trumpet for one of the last times is being released to the public for the first time. The recording was created in January 1971, according to the AP. Armstrong was a featured performer celebrating the inauguration of fellow Louisiana native Vernon Louviere as president of the club. |

The Jacksons Unity Tour Set
Jackie Jackson and his brothers Jermaine, Marlon and Tito will tour the U.S. beginning June 18 in Louisville. The upcoming shows will honor their brother’s legacy, with performances of his solo songs being part of a segment of the show that will serve as a tribute to Michael. The Jacksons siblings are also planning a return to the studio to record their first studio album since 1989′s “2300 Jackson Street,” after wrapping up their “Unity Tour” this summer. |
