BMA Cable Networks invites you to celebrates June, African American Music Appreciation Month! Created by President Jimmy Carter in 1979, this month celebrates the African American musical influences that comprise an essential part of our nation's treasured cultural heritage.
Usher Referred to by some critics as the King of R&B, Usher has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. In 2023, Rolling Stone magazine named him the 97th greatest singer of all time. His professional journey kicked off when he signed with LaFace Records at just 14 years old, releasing his self-titled debut album in 1994. Not only recognized for his musical prowess, Usher has also made notable contributions in acting and philanthropy.

propelled him to super stardom. He’s earned numerous accolades making him one of the

Chris Brown His discography is extensive and diverse, showcasing his versatile talent as he continues to experiment with different genres and styles of music. He has 15 Grammy nominations. Over his career, he has won numerous awards, including a Grammy for Best R&B Album for F.A.M.E. in 2012.
Ella Mai.an English R&B singer-songwriter. A rising star in R&B In 2019, Mai won the Billboard Music Awards for Top R&B Artist and Top Female R&B Artist. She received three nomination from the Grammy's for Best R&B Album for her self-titled debut at the 62nd Grammy Awards .
October London Jared Samuel Erskine, known professionally as October London, is an American singer and songwriter. His debut album, The Rebirth of Marvin, was released in February 2023 as a tribute to Marvin Gaye. His single "Back to Your Place" from the album marked his debut on a Billboard chart when it appeared on the Adult R&B Songs chart at number 22 eventually reaching number one. London was nominated for three Soul Train
Music Awards.
Muni Long Priscilla Renea Hamilto known professionally as Muni Long (pronounced "money
long"), is an American singer and songwriter from Gifford, Florida. Her commercial breakthrough came with her 2022 single "Hrs and Hrs", which peaked in the top 20 of
the Billboard Hot 100 and led her to sign with Def Jam Recordings. The song won a Grammy
Award for Best R&B Performance.
Lucky Daye is an American singer and songwriter from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is signed
to the RCA joint venture label Keep Cool and released his first EP on the label titled I on
November 9, 2018, and his second EP, II, on February 6, 2019. The EP's are part of a series
leading up to his debut album Painted, which was release in 2019.
Daniel Caesar is a Canadian R&B and soul singer-songwriter. Caesar released his debut album Freudian in August 2017, which also garnered widespread critical acclaim. Fast
becoming a super-social media star. His catalog has garnered over 20 million global streams
on Apple Music and 68 million streams on Spotify, with a listener-ship of over 4,000,000 per
month.
Anderson Paak . In 2021, he formed the duo Silk Sonic with fellow singer-songwriter Bruno Mars. The duo's debut single, "Leave the Door Open", reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and was the recipient of four awards at the 64th Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
